In Hell difficulty on battle. The first part to defeating The Summoner is actually finding him. He will always be located at the end of one of the four branches of the Arcane Sanctuary. If the player picks the wrong direction there will be a dead end with several chests, otherwise the quest cue will pop up indicating The Summoner is near. He will be able to attack the player before getting into visible range with deadly cold spells, so one should be sure to clear a path up to his platform before charging in.

Fortunately he does not have much hp. The monsters found there are always the same, Dark Lords, Specters, and Goat Men, and they are quite densely-packed.

One way always has teleporters, one way has a lot of triple switch backs, one way is mostly straight with little zig zag staircases, and the fourth way is always straight and flat. Characters with ranged attacks love the teleporter way, and other ways with steps or cut backs that stop the monsters from advancing, while melee characters like the more straight ahead paths.

Outside of Trials of Osiris tokens and bounties which also reward gear available that week, players will earn a piece of loot at three, five, and seven victories on one card. The gear for each win is static, so if The Summoner is tied to five wins then you need to achieve five wins on a single card for this gun to drop. This guaranteed reward is only available once on each character per week.

You cannot earn The Summonerin any other activity except for Trials of Osiris. Being able to instantly refill your magazine by picking up either Special or Heavy ammo is insanely power. This allows you to potentially chain through dozens upon dozens of enemies without ever tapping the reload button.
